CARTES Asia & E-Commerce Asia open tomorrow with over 90 seminars

At E-Commerce Asia, the exhibitors include BPost, Emarsys, Quantium and Rackspace. Forty speakers from companies such as Groupon, Mindshare Beijing, Radica Systems, Emailvision, GreenTomato and Reasonable Software will be delivering presentations on:

At CARTES Asia, the conference themes on the first day are Prepaid/Loyalty Programs, Smart Cards & Terminals in the morning, and ID Management & eGovernment, Secure Services and Subscription Management in M2M in the afternoon. The next day, the conference themes will be Contactless Technologies Out of Payment in the morning and Mobile & IT Security/Cloud in the afternoon. Thirty-five speakers from companies including Gemalto, HID Global, Logomotion, Oberthur technologies will be talking about advanced government ID credentials, NFC microSD Cards, Cloud content and the next generation of smart cards, Regional transportation schemes in APAC, Smart metering and security, etc. At E-Commerce Asia, the conference theme in the morning sessions for both days is Maximizing Your ECommerce ROI & Getting the Insights from Asia Region, while in the afternoon sessions, the theme is Digital Marketing Technology.

At joint conference sessions for the co-located events, the theme is eCommerce, mCommerce, just Commerce!. There will be 17 presentations by companies such as Trusted Labs, Opsec Security and Toro Development on hot topics such as NFC mobile payments, transaction security and mobile banking solutions. The opening conference on Wednesday March 27th at 5 pm will be introduced by Mrs. Janet Wong, Commissioner for Innovation and Technology, Government of the Hong Kong SAR, followed by Mr. Jean-Pierre DELESSE, from Eurosmart, to present the Smart security Market Facts & Figures.

CARTES Asia and E-Commerce Asia are must-attend events for professionals from the banking, payment, IT, security, retail, telecom, government, transport and smart card industries. The winners of the Asian SESAMES Awards for the most innovative products or applications developed for the Asia-Pacific market in the field of smart cards, digital security, identification, secure transactions and contactless technology will be revealed at 6 pm on 27 March 2013. Three winners out of seven finalists in three categories – Hardware, Software and Applications, and Card Technology Manufacturing, Personalization – will be announced.

The Awards ceremony will be followed by a Networking cocktail at the IKON restaurant, sponsored by the Hong Kong Tourism Board, to welcome attendees from all over the world.
