Speakers Rules and Regulations

Art. 1: Proposals to speak are open to any company in the smart card and secure technologies sectors.

Art. 2: Applicant companies undertake to abide by all the terms of the present regulations as well as the organiser’s decisions.

Art. 3: Candidates are invited to submit an outline of their planned speech in the form of a summary not exceeding 300 words.

The sole aim of the talks and lectures is to present user accounts and experiences, and in no way to present technical product references.

EXPOSIUM, organiser of CARTES in Asia exhibition and congress, will select the short-listed proposals on the basis of their interest value and the manner they are dealt with. The proposal must include: the subject of the speech, the lecturer’s name and details, and any other documentation relevant to the speech.

With a view to protecting the reputation of these professional lectures, any proposals of a commercial nature will be rejected.

This call for papers is in no way a binding commitment for EXPOSIUM to select any submissions. EXPOSIUM alone will decide.
The fact of sending in a proposal does not in itself constitute any cause for its acceptance.

Art. 4: If the proposal is selected, the speaker undertakes to send his presentation in the allotted deadline, to strictly observe the time for the presentation prescribed by the organiser, to stick to the topic of his presentation as outlined in his summary and to submit the finalised text to EXPOSIUM without fail.

If there is any discrepancy between the text itself and the summary outline submitted to EXPOSIUM and/or any failure to comply with deadlines, EXPOSIUM may exclude the applicant at fault.

Art. 5: If the proposal is selected, the speaker is fully liable as regards to the content and the editorial of his/her conference proceedings and authorizes EXPOSIUM to publish them to delegates and journalists.

Art. 6: The access to the CARTES in Asia congress will be free of charge for speakers.

Art. 7: EXPOSIUM reserves the right to use the companies and speakers names, logos, trade marks and pictures about them, in order to promote the congress, either by paper or Internet.

Any society which does not wish all or part of its information to be used for the promotion of the congress must inform the organiser thereof in writing.
